How Viprofix grew to what it is today

Viprofix has been an industry leader in used prepress equipment for over a quarter of a century. Our company boasts that we are a “One-Stop Shop” where customers can buy reconditioned prepress equipment, have it shipped worldwide, installed, and have their staff trained on how to use it. Our sales and service personal have years of experience that they are happy to share with our clients. We have a diverse client base around the world, including customers and full time dealers. The timeline below shows our progression over the years from our humble roots to becoming a global prepress supplier.

1985 -1989

Viprofix opens for business as a small service oriented company servicing prepress and printing equipment in the Chicagoland area. Our team consisted of a tight-knit group of engineers and sales representatives, some of which are still with the company 28 years later. Our company at the time specialized in servicing Linotype prepress equipment as well as being a licensed service provider for Macintosh products.

1990s

Globalization begins to take hold. Viprofix moves to a new and larger location to facilitate its expansion. A branch office is opened in Warsaw, Poland in order to expand Viprofix’s reach into European and Asian markets. Viprofix’s staff continues to grow. In the US Viprofix reaches over 10 full time staff members, and 5 in Poland. Along with the growth in European markets, Viprofix sets up dealers in South and Central America. Many of our staff members can now communicate in Polish, Spanish, and Russian.

2000s

Viprofix becomes a truly global company, with sales and installations in Russia, India, Vietnam, Uganda, Ecuador, and Argentina just to name a few. Our staff is trained to meet the needs of our international clientele by understanding the rules and regulations pertaining to export of goods and equipment installations in foreign countries.

2012 – future

Viprofix continuously expands its inventory which now consists of digital presses, imagesetters, platesetters, RIPS, and chemical processors as well as a huge inventory of parts. Our company is global, and has customers, suppliers and dealers in many countries on many different continents. Our staff has increased in size and has become streamlined and efficient. We now boast a 15 person staff in the United States with multiple dealers worldwide.
